Her Town or Middle Ground?
Instead of traveling to her home town it may be advantageous to arrange to meet somewhere else, in another city of mutual interest. If you meet in her home town she will constantly feel that her friends and family are watching her while she is with you. She may feel restricted from expressing her affections toward you. Something as simple as holding hands in public may be uncomfortable for her when she is with you for the first time. Even worse would be that other situations in her life could affect the available time she has to spend with you. By meeting her away from her home town you can increase your opportunities for meaningful interaction. You will have the advantage of her undivided attention and she will be free from the ‘spying eyes’ of friends and family. Most likely she will be a tourist in this city just like you and you can share this new experience together. Consider meeting in Moscow or St. Petersburg. Both of these cities are rich with cultural attractions and historical sites that will keep you busy for days. If your relationship flourishes then you can always travel to her home town to meet her family and friends either on this trip or another. There are extra considerations if you intend to invite a lady to visit you. Be thoughtful to the distance she may have to travel to meet you. Train travel is a common way for most Russians to travel long distances however with the vast size of Russia it may take 1-3 days and nights of travel, each way, to reach a city like Moscow or St. Petersburg from where she lives. Air travel is much more expedient but she will probably need financial assistance for such a trip. Another consideration to anticipate is where she will stay when she is visiting you. She may have friends or relatives she can stay with but it is more likely that she will need her own lodging. Again this is something she will probably need financial assistance with.
